We just got back from a week at Marco Island, Florida where we rented a condo with Mike's high school friends Brian and Amber and their son Landon (6). I think that Evan's first trip away from home (other than Mana and Papa's house) deserves its very own post. It's 7:53 am and I'm sitting up in our loft waiting (expecting) E to wake up any minute now and have been so for the last almost hour. Evan turned six weeks old yesterday. Apparently that means the little dictator won an a 24-hour access nursing pass. What does that mean for me? Mike's taking a photography class and needed some portraits of Evan, though after we set up this little shoot he realized they were supposed to be outdoors. I am so proud of Mike! This weekend we went down to Florida and he completed his open water SCUBA diving certification. And I was lucky enough to get to tag along for his first dives out in the real world.
