Jess and Grant go on safari

It's been a while since I posted...Mike and I are sooooo busy trying to iron out details for our wedding while also working full time and just living life. Luckily I was able to carve out some time to spend with my nephew, Grant. And we had so much fun and got such awesome pictures, I just had to share them! We went to the Wild Animal Safari Park in Pine Mountain, which just so happens to be only a couple miles away from where Grant's Maw-Maw lives (that's "grandma" in deep southern speak, right Audrey?). I was a little worried about how Grant would react since sometimes he's a little shy around animals... and although he did NOT want to touch them or feed them by hand, he had a great time throwing a piece of food to every single one that decided to check us out. And he also thought a lot of them stank and would command me to drive past the stinky ones while he held his breath. Unfortunately for him, I thought this was hysterical so I made sure to stop and take pictures of all the stinky ones (evil grin here). Nevertheless, I got mine with all the slobber on my car windows and clothes. Woo Hoo! Here are the best pictures of the day:

First we see this guy....

Next thing we know, we get to see this!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

After all that excitement, we went to the walk-around portion of the park and this was Grant's favorite, a Burmese python that smelled us with his tongue...he was definitely alive right Grant? (Most of the animals in this building we're stuffed...and therefore not alive...).

Grant as liger.

Aww, man...gimme a quarter Aunt Jess!

Cameras can be so entertaining when you're waiting for your lunch!

THE END!!
