Gina, did I spell that right? At 17 weeks our baby boy is already getting ahead of the game, measuring a whole week bigger than normal...at the last one, he was only 2 days ahead of schedule. Alas, I am not the least bit surprised as ginormous babies run in at least my side of the family (mom had 2 girls over 10lbs and 1 boy over 11lbs!!) I'm scared! I was hoping that the coffee I've been drinking would really cause the "low birth weight" it threatens to according to all those pregnancy health sites. I guess that doesn't mean it's also a remedy for huge babies. Sigh.
Well that's alright because one thing I can say is that Blob of Goo has all his parts in the right place and looks like a real human being now. He is also, for certain, a human doing since once again he was all over the place kicking and punching and turning somersaults! Gina is still nervous about babysitting. Watch out!
So what should we name him?? Any suggestions?

congrats! We too are having a boy about a week or so before you!! They will be perfect play dates! We are naming him Oliver. Good luck in choosing a name and getting a low birth weight. I weighed over 10 myself so I am a bit nervous too!
"Diagoras"? http://www.perseus.tufts.edu/Olympics/diag.html
"Cuchullain"?
I like names with some connection or story behind them (probably because mine turned out so trendy although that was not my parents' intent). So personally I would find a cultural heritage that is important to you and then find either a famous ancient athlete since your little guy is so athletic in there, or some quality that you want for him, or perhaps some connection to your honeymoon and find a name that relates to that. Any old family names in the geneology that appeal to you? Those make good stories and provide a connection to your clan as well.
